May we reveal our abundance without shame.
May we peel back our sleeping wintry layers
Like snakeskins, like the silk chrysalis,
Like clothing cast off during love.
May we unravel with abandon like lover’s knots
Before knitting ourselves back to the heart.
May we settle into our own rhythms as tides do-
Within the borders of the moon’s calling…
May the milky fingers of the moon
Reach down nightly to cherish and unveil us.
May we turn our bodies generously in its light
Like tranquil fish glinting underwater.
Like precious stones…
On the verge.
I feel like I’m on the verge, sitting precariously betwixt and between two different states of being. We are all, in various ways and through many expressions, poised on the verge, on the cusp of a shift. This month, we celebrated the celtic holiday Imbolc, Groundhog Day; the returning of the light; we are on the verge of spring. This week started with the New Moon and Chinese New Year and tomorrow is Valentine's Day. The wheel of the year is turning and we are being offered over and over, opportunities to unravel and remake ourselves, and settle into our own rhythms and the rhythms of the Earth.
With all this shifting and transforming swirling around me, I am reminded to come home to myself, to come into right alignment. Right, or righteous alignment, is our natural state, when our hearts, minds and gut are ‘in line.’ At Shakti Rising, we call this ‘getting pono’ with yourself. Pono, in Hawaiian means righteous, in perfect order, eased, relieved. When I am Pono, I am listening deeply to my own body wisdom and responding.
Tapping into our innate body and soul wisdom as the ground of our being is one of the core foundational teachings at Shakti Rising. Our four day intensive leadership training, Practical Alchemy, offers practical training on how to live and work as an embodied leader. This year, we have two trainings scheduled, Southern California in May 12th-15th and Northern California September 15th-18th.. This work revolutionizes the current paradigm in our culture that believes some outside source knows what’s best for us. We are on the poised on the verge of a new way of living on this planet, where we can truly embrace the saying, ‘Act locally, think globally’. When we start within, the ripples of transformation move into our families, organizations, communities, cities and countries. What is being asked of us, is that we remember how to listen and know. If we are going to heal ourselves, our communities and this planet, we will do it from living deep, soulful and heart guided living. Just like they told us during the Super Bowl halftime show, “Believe in love”.
The Heart of Shakti lies within each of us. We are a vibrant, eclectic community of individuals who recognize interconnectedness, believe in goodness, and choose love first. ~The Heart of Shakti
